America's HEALTHIEST CampusĀ®


The Department of Wellness encourages wellness for the mind and body by offering a variety of wellness services to faculty, staff and students. Wellness services offered include: employee assistance program, health risks assessments, massage therapy, personal training, nutrition counseling, cooking classes, sponsored programs and many specialized events.

  • BALANCE: a 14-week program that helps participants develop and maintain a healthy lifestyle and achieve an optimal level of health and fitness.
  • Employee Assistance Program: a confidential resource for faculty, staff and their families who are experiencing personal difficulties.
  • Health Risk Assessments: conducts HRA screenings that provide an individualized health risk assessment designed for early detection of health problems.
  • Massage Therapy: uses relaxing techniques to help the body transcend into an overall sense of well being.
  • Nutrition Counseling: one on one counseling enables people to obtain the tools and knowledge needed to make healthy food choices.
  • Cooking classes: teaches heart healthy cooking classes
  • Personal Training: trainers develop exercise programs specific to client needs which teaches them how to perform the exercises correctly and effectively.
  • Sponsored Programs:
    • The Department of Wellness at OSU administers multiple private, state and federally funded programs to serve the needs of disabled Oklahomans.
  • Wellness Wednesday: free luncheon on the third Wednesday of each month featuring a wellness topic to create awareness and provide education on healthy living.
