My desire to become a personal trainer was cultivated by my journey of overcoming serious injuries and health challenges throughout my previous athletic career and upbringing. My favorite sport to watch is basketball and my favorite styles of training include circuit training and high intensity interval training. I also place a heavy emphasis on implementing mobility and flexibility exercises to support optimal joint movement and injury prevention.

I have been a trainer here at the Colvin for 5 (yes you read that right) years. During this time, I’ve obtained my master’s in health and human performance, as well as certifications in group fitness, strength and conditioning, and Olympic weightlifting. I love using the knowledge and experience I have to help people in their fitness journey by providing individualized and high-quality programming and coaching.

My love for exercise and desire to share this passion for others is ultimately why I chose to be a trainer. I enjoy watching or participating in most sports and enjoy reading during my spare time.

My personal workout preferences are high intensity and strength workouts. Playing a competitive sport my whole life made my interest in structured training grow as I got older.

I became a trainer to help people meet their goals and to create a stronger, healthier community. My goal is to do strength and conditioning coaching to help athletes achieve success on and off the field.

For the past 19 years I have been a rodeo athlete (bull riding), competing in an arena against an opponent 10 times my size. Fitness has been a big part of this journey and has undoubtedly attributed to much of my success. I am a firm believer that you can achieve anything you set your mind to.
