Eligibility
2.1 Eligible Participants and Requirements
Eligibility rules ensure fair play and equal opportunity for all intramural participants. Each player is responsible for verifying their own eligibility, while team captains are accountable for their team members.
To be eligible to participate in Intramural Sports, an individual must fall into one of the following categories:
Eligible Participants
- Oklahoma State University (Stillwater Campus) and Northern Oklahoma College Gateway undergrad and graduate students currently enrolled.
Faculty and Staff
- Benefit-eligible Oklahoma State University employees.
Department of Wellness Membership Holder
- Any individual who is 17 or older and has purchased a membership (excluding day, single month, and/or pool passes) to the Colvin Recreation Center.
Participant Requirements
All participants must create an IMLeagues account and be added to a team roster before competing. Those who play without registering will be ejected and the team will receive a forfeit loss.
Participants may play on one single-gender team, one Co-Ed team, and one Unified team. Once a player competes for a team, they are considered a member of that team. Competing on multiple teams in the same division may result in forfeits, suspensions, or expulsions.
Roster additions may be made throughout the regular sport season and playoffs.
Participants must present a valid university ID, government-issued ID, or live OSU Banner login (no screenshots) before each intramural event. IDs must be original and include a clear photo. Using false or shared IDs will result in immediate suspension for one semester, a required meeting with Competitive Sports Staff, and possible further penalties, including expulsion from the Colvin Center.
Contests with illegal participation
-
- League play: All games with an ineligible player are forfeited to the opposing team.
- Tournament play: The last game with an ineligible player is forfeited to the opposing team.
If a single-gender league lacks enough teams, participants as that gender may join two Co-Ed teams. Eligible participants should contact the Competitive Sports Office to request joining a second Co-Ed team.
2.3 Club Sport Athlete Participation
Club sport members* may participate in their associated sports, however a max of two club sport members are allowed on an intramural sports team in the associated sport. Coaches, advisors and club members all count towards the two-member limit.
For individual/dual sports, a max of one club member is allowed per team.
