10.1 Travel Request Form
Club travel regulations are designed to ensure the safety of all club members while traveling. Clubs may travel to participate in events and tournaments anywhere they choose.
A travel request form must be turned in on DSE 2 weeks prior to departure. If this form is not turned in, travel will not be approved and the club may not travel.
Event reports are due within 48 hours of returning from an event. In case of an accident or any other problem, the club should report this in the post-travel form and/or communicate with the Competitive Sports Office ASAP.
Trip Insurance may be available through Campus Life and Leadership. An expenditure request is required for trip Insurance.
OSU Club Sports are not allowed to reserve University vehicles through OSU Motor pool.
10.2 Travel Standards
All drivers must be Approved Drivers on DSE before any trip. Requirements include:
- Valid driver’s license for the vehicle type
- Vehicle must be insured with the driver’s last name on the insurance card
- Seat belts must be worn at all times
- No driving under the influence or within 8 hours of alcohol use
- Passenger count must match available seatbelts
- Drivers may drive a maximum of 10 hours after 8 consecutive hours of rest
