Executive Committee
The Sports Club Executive Committee is an appointed group of club officers that serves the common interest of the Club Sports Program. The Executive Committee is to advise the Competitive Sports Office on all matters pertaining to the administration of the program.
4.1 Executive Committee Membership
- Composition: 1 advisor, 7 club sport officers, 1 Competitive Sports graduate assistant (appointed by the Competitive Sports Office), and 1 Competitive Sports staff member.
- Voting: All members in good standing have voting rights. Ties are broken by the Competitive Sports staff.
- Term: One academic year, with priority for new applicants over returning representatives.
- Eligibility: Must be a current club officer in good standing or a previous Executive Committee member.
- Changes: The Executive Committee can implement immediate changes with agreement from the Competitive Sports Office.
4.2 Responsibilities
- Attend Monthly Executive Committee Meetings
- Oversee Disciplinary Hearings
- Review & Recommend Budget Allocations
- Recommend Policy & Procedure Changes
- Facilitate New Club Presentation Proposals
Executive Committee Members may not miss more than two meetings per academic year. Failure to meet that criteria will result in a loss of member voting rights. Excused absences must be provided to the Competitive Sports Office at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled meeting time.
