Registration & Policies
Registering for Classes
To attend a class, reserve your spot at rec.wellness.okstate.edu. Registration for each class opens 24 hours in advance, and reserved spots are held up until 5 minutes before the start of class.
Walk-ups are accepted on a first come first serve basis 5 minutes before the start of class.
Canceling Registration
Cancellations can be made up to 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. You must cancel your reservation if you are no longer attending the class time. This allows space for additional patrons to book the class.

Policies
All patrons—including students, faculty/staff and community members—must pay the group fitness fee before registering for group fitness classes.
The group fitness fee can be paid via credit card at rec.wellness.okstate.edu. Bursar charges can be requested by emailing fitness@okstate.edu.
In the case of late arrival to a class you are registered for, entrance will not be permitted more than 5 minutes past the class' start time.
Types of Group Fitness Classes
Cycle
- Circuit Cycle: A combination of your favorite spin and total body resistance classes. Get ready to work your cardiovascular endurance on the bike and build some muscles off the bike.
- Cycle: A heart pumping endurance class set to hit music with an instructor that leads you through multiple drills and a sure fire way to get your cardio in for the day.
- Late Night Ride: Late night twist to a classic cycle class! Hop on the stationary bike and get ready to work your endurance while enjoying hit music and a black-lights backdrop.
- Speedy Cycle: Try out this 30-minute lunchtime cycle class for a fun and invigorating cardiovascular workout.
- Sunrise Cycle: Start your day energized with an early morning ride designed to awaken your body and mind. This high-energy cycling class combines motivating music, a supportive group atmosphere and endurance-building rides to help you build strength, improve cardiovascular fitness and leave you feeling accomplished before your day begins.
Dance
- Ballet: A dance class blending classical ballet techniques with conditioning exercises to improve flexibility, strength, and posture. Expect graceful movements combined with targeted muscle work for a full-body workout that enhances balance and coordination.
- Dance Fit: A high-energy, dance-inspired fitness class set to today’s hit music, combining dynamic cardio and strength-focused movements for a fun, full-body workout. Suitable for all fitness levels.
- Line Dance: Join us for a fun, high-energy class where you'll learn popular line dances and the fundamentals of country swing while improving rhythm, coordination and confidence. Enjoy a full-body workout that enhances balance, muscular endurance and cardiovascular fitness in a welcoming, social environment. No partner or previous dance experience is required.
- Modern Dance: A dynamic class that merges modern dance techniques with fluid, expressive movements for those with or without prior dance experience. Focuses on building strength, flexibility, and artistic expression through a combination of floor work, exercises, and improvisation.
- Zumba: A total body dance style workout in a Latin flavor. Fusing hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic workout system that will blow you away.
Mind-Body/Strength
- HIIT: A high-energy class that blends fast-paced HIIT intervals with targeted mobility training to boost cardiovascular endurance, build functional strength and improve pain-free range of motion. Expect powerful cardio bursts, strength-driven movements and restorative mobility flows.
- Pilates: A strengthening and lengthening form of exercise that focuses on your core muscles while also training your arms and legs. Benefits include improved posture, coordination, balance, lung capacity, concentration, body awareness, and injury prevention.
- Power Yoga: An energizing yoga practice known for its faster-paced, flowing sequences that combine challenging poses, dynamic movement and breath control to build strength, endurance, flexibility and stamina. While challenging, power yoga can be modified for all levels, making it suitable for beginners with modifications and for experienced participants who want a more intense workout.
- Strength and Stretch: A great way to complement yoga and/or cardio exercise. Strengthening exercises emphasize the abs, torso and “core” muscles to condition you for the challenges of daily living.
- Total Body: A resistance training class targeting major muscles groups using various equipment, movements and timing. Incorporates bursts of cardio to help you tone all major muscles.
- Vinyasa Yoga: Connect movement with breath as you flow through a series of yoga postures designed to build strength, balance, flexibility and body awareness. This all-level class offers modifications and challenges for every experience level while creating a moving meditation that helps reduce stress, improve mindfulness and leaves you feeling refreshed, energized and centered.
- Yoga: Bring harmony between mind and body while building strength, balance, flexibility and range of motion and calming the mind to feel rejuvenated and increase concentration and focus.
