About the HEPS Grant
Oklahoma State University is the recipient of a Higher Education Prevention Services grant through the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. This grant is designed to provide prevention education regarding opioids, prescription stimulants and other substances to OSU students, faculty and staff. This grant also addresses suicide awareness and education.

Substance Synopses
In this video series, we will discuss prevention education regarding opioids, prescription stimulants and other substances to OSU students, faculty and staff.
On the Brain
The “On the Brain” series invites viewers to explore the impacts that various substances can have on the brain. This series includes information regarding both short- and long-term effects, as well as resources and tips to combat and prevent substance misuse. On the Brain explores 7 different substances including cocaine, marijuana, opioids and stimulants, alcohol and tobacco, nicotine and vaping products to help educate and prevent substance misuse in the campus community.
