I am originally from Las Cruses, New Mexico. I moved to Oklahoma during high school and graduated from Jenks High School (Go Trojans!). I am currently working on a Marketing degree with a minor in Sports Management. My first love is running and I absolutely adore training for road and trail races! I have been a group fitness instructor here at the Colvin for almost two years, focusing primarily on circuit style training. My goals are to show people they are stronger and more capable than they may believe and to help them reach their fitness goals. Outside of the gym, I love to read and be outside!

Balthrop, Jared
ACSM-CPT

Hey! My name is Jared Balthrop and I lived a lot of places growing up, but to makes things easier, I graduated high school in San Antonio, Texas. I'm a fun-loving, sociable guy that is always willing to try something new in order to get the best results. In high school, I played lacrosse and football and really learned how much I love to compete with others and how to push my body to its limits. My goal is to help you become the best that you can be, while having some fun along the way!

Barnes, Carolyn

Blake, Corybeth
ACE-CPT

I am a Stillwater native, so I was raised with orange in my blood. I am a Pro Natural Bodybuilder, and love to dabble in powerlifting and Olympic lifting. My current plan in the next year is to go back to school to get my Massage Therapy License. It is very important to me to not only learn how to strengthen the body but also to help it heal and reach a better quality of life. My hobbies include slinging coffee at Aspen Coffee for the past seven years and traveling ALL over the world with my husband and family. One VERY interesting fact about me is that I met my husband in the Colvin weight room in 2012 and two years later he proposed to me in the weight room with the help of family, friends, and everyone working there.

Boyce, Austin
PTAG-CPT

I started lifting four years ago as an energy outlet and to create a healthier lifestyle for myself. Two years ago I started to fall in love with strength training and powerlifting. I am about to petition to get my CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist). I have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing but will soon be applying for a Master’s program in Kinesiology with an emphasis on Strength and Conditioning.  I would eventually like to study muscular atrophy in aging populations. My goal is to help people age gracefully and improve their quality of life.

Craig, Trevor

I believe that no matter what stage of life you are in, joy should be a constant. I aim to meet my clients where they are at; I have trained and worked with clients ages 19 to 91. My programs are structured in a holistic approach knowing a complex body needs all aspects to be attended to function in the fullest capacity. I firmly believe that mental, emotional and physical health are intricately intertwined and aim to train clients in such a way that helps them find a new level of health in each area. My hope is that when you train with me you get more than a workout; I know the science and technicalities of fitness, but most importantly I make sure that I know you.

I enjoy being with friends and family, and playing NCAA Football 2010 and ping pong.

I was born and raised in Fort Smith, Arkansas. I transferred from the University of Arkansas my sophomore year to Oklahoma State University, where I am now a senior double majoring in Business Management and Marketing. I plan to get a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration. Playing sports is initially what got me into the fitness world, and I have happily been here ever since. Running is my preferred method of exercise, but I pretty much enjoy it all (besides anything involving Olympic lifting). In my free time I enjoy watching or playing sports (Kevin Durant is my favorite athlete, don’t hate me), spending time with my friends and family, or going on an outdoor run with my beloved Berne doodle, Winston.

I am from Guymon Oklahoma, which is a small town in the middle of the Oklahoma Panhandle. I am currently a Construction Management Technology major. I have always loved sports and was very active as a child. I have swum competitively since I was six, played baseball since I could walk, and played every sport offered to me as a child. I began seriously working out about 2 years ago and have never stopped. I love to snowboard, hike, swim, ride ATV’s, and do anything outside. I have always loved to build things and that is partially why I am going into Construction Management. I also love meeting new people and helping people accomplish goals they never thought they would be able to accomplish.

Ivy, Jeremiah

I’m originally from Holly Springs, Mississippi, but moved to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, around middle school. I started working out for sports and I was able to get a amazing personal trainer who has been my role model and inspired me down this path. As of now, I’m a junior majoring in Applied Exercise Science and plan on furthering my education with a Master’s degree after graduation, while also gaining more fitness certifications and work experience as a personal trainer. The ultimate goal for me would be to eventually start up my own gym working with younger kids and athletes similar to the way I started.

Keffer, Jacob
ACSM-CPT

I am from Ponca City, Oklahoma. I recently graduated from Oklahoma State with a Bachelor of Science in Health Education and Promotion with an option in Exercise Science. Fitness has always been a part of my life. In the past, I specialized in endurance training by competing in track and cross-country for eight years. After this, I decided to transition to strength training and have loved it. I currently compete in the NANBF as an amateur natural bodybuilder, and plan to compete to go pro in the summer of 2019. I am pursuing physical therapy school in the coming years, which will translate to the training I enjoy. I love to work with people from all walks of life, and strongly believe that ANYONE no matter how young or old and no matter what fitness level can benefit from regular exercise and personal training!

I am from Tulsa, Oklahoma, and graduated from Jenks High School in 2015. I am currently pursuing a degree in Health Education and Promotion, and would like to go into Hospital Administration for the Veteran’s Administration. I am a member of the Oklahoma Army National Guard and Army ROTC here on campus. My exercise of choice is cardio - I love to run and hike all sorts of ridiculous trails distances. I am a huge superhero nerd, and a hardcore fan of the Denver Broncos and Oklahoma City Thunder (Thunder Up!!!). I also have a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and passionately love my boxer dog Bo.

Meador, Alex
PTAG-CPT, PTAG-ESM

I was born and raised in Shawnee, Oklahoma, but I attended Midwest City High School. I am currently majoring in Biochemistry with aspirations to be an astrophysicist similar to Neil DeGrasse Tyson. However, I also plan to keep a hand in the fitness and wellness industry for as long as possible. My introduction to fitness came when I lost all of my hair overnight as a child due to alopecia. After a few years, I realized the only way for me to make a change in my appearance would be through fitness and exercise. One of my biggest philosophies with personal training is the concept of self-regulation. Everyone is different and feels different on certain days. Therefore, optimal training should constantly be adaptive to how a person feels as well as fun depending on the day. I enjoy any outdoor activities such as soccer, snowboarding, playing catch (baseball or football), as well as anything else that keeps me active and outdoors.

Price, Xzaveion “X”
B.S., CSCS, NSCA-CPT

I am from Bowling Green, Kentucky. I graduated from Western Kentucky University with a B.S. in Exercise Science and minor in Business Administration. I am now earning my Master’s in Health & Human Performance here at OSU. I love playing video games, just about anything outdoors, lifting weights, playing basketball, and running Spartan obstacle course races! Fitness became a passion of mine when I was playing basketball and football in high school. Competing is always fun, but preparation for competition and optimizing human movement has become my niche.

Raleigh, Mikayla
B.S., CSCS, ACSM-CPT

I am from Raleigh, NC where I earned my undergraduate degree in Human Biology from North Carolina State University. I am studying to get my master’s degree in Applied Exercise Science at OSU. I am also a GA in the Seretean Wellness Center. My job duties include writing exercise programs for Cowboy Challenge and S.W.E.A.T., serving as a Cowboy Challenge coach, and training SHAPE UP participants. An interesting fact about me is that I am on the cheerleading team here and it is my love for the sport that has fueled my passion for athletic performance and training. I have been coaching and training other cheer athletes since I was in the 9th grade out of the gym in our basement. My goal is to use my degree to help promote the optimal fitness and nutrition strategies that collegiate cheerleaders should pursue to maximize their potential.

Schulz, Abby
PTAG-CPT, CF-L1

I am from Altus, Oklahoma, which is a small military town. I am a junior majoring in dietetics with three interests in mind: 1. Attend medical school 2. Coach CrossFit back home (or anywhere) 3. Focus dietetics on athletes. I’ve been doing CrossFit since my freshman year of high school. I have a CrossFit Level 1 certification and a PTA Global certification. I plan on obtaining an Olympic lifting and gymnastic certification along with completing all of the “Levels” specific for CrossFit. If you can’t find me at the gym, church or home… I’m probably missing!

Shaw, Cailey
B.S. Applied Exercise Science: Strength and Conditioning, PTAG-CPT

I am from Yukon, Oklahoma, and recently graduated from Oklahoma State with a degree in Applied Exercise Science. Fitness has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember; my favorite ways to exercise are through various types of resistance training and outdoor running. I see fitness as an avenue for personal challenges and stress relief - there’s no better way to fight bad days than to let out some energy! I became a trainer because I want to help people feel comfortable in the gym and gain confidence in themselves and their abilities. I plan to begin studying for my CSCS certification soon, and hope to obtain it by Fall 2018. A few fun facts about me are that I also work at Aspen Coffee, I LOVE small dogs, and I am 100% a homebody - I will probably never venture too far from Oklahoma.

Stanley, Joe
PTAG-CPT
Instructional Program(s): Cowboy Bootcamp

I was raised in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and graduated from Victory Christian School. I am pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a minor in Petroleum Engineering. My introduction to the fitness lifestyle came after I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in high school, and I decided it was better to start taking care of my body now rather than continuing down the path I was on. When I am in the gym I do a mix of powerlifting and bodybuilding but you will rarely see me on a treadmill. I teach TRX and early morning Bootcamp and I really enjoy it! Lastly, I am an avid outdoorsman - from hunting and fishing to kayaking and mountain biking; I love it all!

Stuart, Maci
ISSA Certified Fitness Trainer, USAW-L1SP
Instructional Program(s): Foundations of Olympic Lifting

I grew up on a ranch in the Texas panhandle and graduated from Follett High School. I am currently a junior at Oklahoma State studying Applied Exercise Science with an emphasis in Strength and Conditioning. I was introduced to fitness by my father at a very young age. I was always involved in sports, but he was the one who taught me how different training styles could impact your athletic performance. My own training interest is Olympic lifting. Outside of the gym I enjoy snowboarding, playing basketball, and driving back to Texas to see my family.

Summers, Dalton
PTAG-CPT

I am from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. I came to Oklahoma State to pursue a degree in Fire Protection and Safety Technology. After being in the major and learning the lack of attention to fitness in the fire service, I wanted to learn how to train in hopes of one day bettering the fire service. I am also an avid outdoorsman and would like to be able to hunt and fish for as long as I can, and fitness definitely plays a role in that. I would like to see people be able to enjoy their lives and be able to move for as long as possible as well. Personally, I enjoy lifting and perfecting form during those lifts. However, I am all about general fitness and trying to be in the best shape possible; there is nothing I am not willing to try.

Trimble, Triston
NASM-CPT, USAW-L1SP

I grew up in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. I am a junior majoring in Health Education and Promotion. I love helping people reach their goals. My dream job is to work at Lifetime Fitness, which is the gym where I fell in love with fitness. My specialty is in bodybuilding.

Wade, Bailey
PTAG-CPT

I grew up in Yale, Oklahoma. I am a Public Health Education and Promotion major at Oklahoma State and I absolutely love it. Going from being an athlete in high school to a freshman college student, I got really sick from being inactive, and I even ended up in the hospital for a while. It made me realize that I needed to start being more active, and the more I got into a healthy lifestyle the more I loved it. I enjoy a variety of different types of exercises (yoga, kickboxing, resistance, cardio, etc.), except for Olympic lifting. Outside of work and school, I enjoy exercising, walking around Boomer Lake, spending time with my family and friends, going to church, and traveling.
