Local Trips

Within Stillwater’s 28 square miles lies scenic lakeside trails, fresh air and the chance to be fully immersed in nature. The Local Trips Program allows participants to experience the beauty of Stillwater, whether it be through paddle boarding and camping at Lake Carl Blackwell, hitting the winding trails that cut through the rolling hills at Lake McMurtry or camping lakeside at Camp Redlands under the stars.

Our trained guides make it easier to find Stillwater’s most hidden gems. Quiet coves, tucked-away trails and peaceful places allow for nature-enthusiasts to come together and enjoy everything Stillwater has to offer.

Explore Oklahoma

Explore Oklahoma allows participants to rediscover the diverse beauty that lives right in their backyard. This isn’t the kind of beauty that is simply seen, it can also be felt, heard and breathed in with every step. Whether it’s feeling the ground shift from red dirt to rocky trails on a hike into the Wichita Mountains, or the sound of spring water traveling through the woods at Roman Nose State Park, this program makes it easy to appreciate everything Oklahoma has to offer.

We're always looking for new areas to explore, so keep an eye out for the next adventure!

OK Go!

Stepping beyond Oklahoma’s familiar plains opens the door to a whole new kind of adventure. Exploring other states is like flipping to a fresh chapter—each one packed with different landscapes, cultures and experiences waiting to be discovered.

Trade the red dirt and wide horizons for towering mountains, dense forests or desert canyons. Every state brings its own rhythm, its own flavor and its own story.

It’s more than just a change in scenery, it’s a chance to experience new landscapes and ecosystems, meet different people and see how life shifts across regions. From hidden trailheads to iconic landmarks and unexpected roadside stops, exploring outside Oklahoma pushes you out of your routine and into something memorable.

Logistics

The Trips Program has a long and exciting history of introducing participants to unique places, engaging activities and new friends. The pricing for the trips reflect the experiences and opportunities participants are able to partake in.

Costs include: Qualified outdoor leaders, tents, group cooking equipment, activity-specific gear, meals, logistics, park fees and transportation.

One more logistical consideration: Our plans may change for reasons beyond our control. That is the nature of outdoor adventures. It is therefore important to be flexible, laid back and less goal oriented than we may be in our everyday lives. Let your trip leaders handle any logistical challenges that may occur. That is their job.
