Variety, color, difference and Importance. When you enter into your outside space, what do you gravitate to? What makes you want to be outdoors? Creating a yard that includes edibles and sustainability can also equal enjoyment, relaxation and less work! Carla Grogg, owner of Grogg’s Green Barn, will introduce some unique aspects of natives, edible plants and xeriscaping that doesn’t mean “a bunch of rocks!” She will give her testimony on why you should garden organically and some of her all-time favorite choices for your garden! Grogg’s lead horticulturist, Raychelle, will give a brief introduction on how to garden without the use of synthetic chemicals…it is possible!  She will also share the good, bad and ugly bugs you may see roaming around.

Carla Grogg is a graduate of Oklahoma State University. Fast forward several years and add a husband and 3 children and you have the Grogg Family!
A desire, not a degree, has driven Carla & Kelly to open Grogg’s Green Barn. Grand opening was in 2011. Grogg’s is Tulsa’s local, organic and Sustainable plant and landscape nursery. Behind the name is a passion for growing organically, community involvement and a desire to educate others on what sustainable landscaping is. At their retail location they practice what they preach- tThe retail facility encompasses over 12 sustainable features, including: a 5,000 gallon rainwater tank, backyard chickens, composting, observatory bee hive, rain garden and much more…

Carla drives the company with new ideas & products. Keeping the company unique, different and ahead of the norm is their number one goal!
