O-Zone Fitness Center Instructors

Half and Half
In this class, you will get the best of everything – a great cardio workout consisting of half step aerobics and half land aerobics – PLUS a strength training segment using calisthenics, stability balls, and/or hand weights.

     
   

Debbie McAuliff
Aerobics Instructor
Zumba Instructor

Debbie started teaching aerobics over 25 years ago.  She has been certified through Rhythmic Aerobics, Oklahoma Center for Athletes, Fitness Professionals Association, Seretean Wellness Center and most recently in ZUMBA.   Her classes use a variety of step, land aerobics, weights and the ball. Her signature class “Strength and Stretch”, was designed to compliment Debbie’s motto “No matter what you choose to do, just keep moving.”
     
 

Mary Talley
Aerobics Instructor

Mary is currently teaching the 6:00 am ‘Half and Half’ class while Jen is on maternity leave. Mary received a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Community Wellness and a Master of Science degree in Health Promotion from Oklahoma State University. In her current position as Program Manager, she oversees day-to-day operations of the facility, supervises the O-Zone fitness center, coordinates student recruitment (interns and graduate assistants), and assists with conferences hosted or coordinated by the Wellness Center. Students interested in paid internships and graduate assistantships should contact Mary directly.  She holds numerous certifications in the areas of exercise science, health education, and worksite wellness programming, most notably:  

  • American College of Sports Medicine – Health/Fitness Director
  • National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. – Certified Health Education Specialist; and
  • National Wellness Institute – Worksite Wellness Program Coordinator

She is also certified by the American Heart Association as a BLS (Basic Life Support) Instructor.
